While higher education network in our country has widely developed with significant human and physical potentials, universities and colleges are still facing various challenges in terms of teaching quality and management mechanism. Professor Tran Hong Quan, former minister of education and training notes that Vietnam’s higher education currently remains “poor, backward, stagnant and affected” (retrieved from http://giaoducduhoc.nld.com.vn). One of the reasons leading to this status quo is the slow renovation in leadership and management thinking among institution administrators.
In an effort to support teacher training universities and colleges in education programme of the Flemish Association for Development Cooperation and Technical Assistance (VVOB), we have hereby developed the Guide to Innovative Leadership.
