I am filled with great happiness as I take this time to thank you and VVOB Leaders very very much that you gave me a golden chance to participate in the pre-conference event. More especially that you enabled me to give a VVOB Grassroots project presentation during the Teachers' Forum.

That presentation in front of people from all over the world helped me gain self confidence and my future presentations will even be better than that. Thanks to Leone and Lievne who kept on telling me that i have their support and that i will make it. That was extremely wonderful. I really appreciate their support and encoragement.

I got my IMIS diploma in 1998 and later went for teaching in 2004. But i never made use of IMIS qualifications thinking that it had nothing to do with Office Practice. Many times I even regretted the time and money that was spent during this course. Thanks to VVOB Grassroots because I can now use ICT tools in teaching Office Practice. I even encourage my fellow teachers to use ICT tools in their various areas of specialisation as they prepare the teaching/learning points. Where need arises, I even teach them ICT.

Grassroots Project has taught me not just to get information for teaching from text books, but to gather teaching/learning materials from various places and websites, make them interesting by adding animations and effects if the lesson is presented using power point. And thanks to Lukonga who taught me how to make movies using Windows Movie Maker.

It was a big opportunity to witness Duplicability of Grassroots concept to inspire educators to use ICT in education working. More interesting was to see educators challenges resolved by VVOB Grassroots projects. E.g. there was a common challenge in schools where teachers themselves had a negative attitude towards using computers. A solution was to teach pupils first who will then help out teachers. Just like Grassroots project at Kabwe Trust School is working out very well. At this school, teachers are now feeling left behind as there own pupils can operate a computer. As a result, they have started learning and most of them are taught by pupils.

Lastly but not the least, I thank VVOB once more. Grassroots project made the Vice Principal at Kabwe School for Continuing Education to notice my qualifications who later went to request for my services at Provincial Education Office. The P.E.O then seconded me to Kabwe School for Continuing Education as an Information Technology Instructor in December 2009. At the moment, I offer ICT and Office Management.

Wishing you God's blessings!

Yours sincerely
