Closing Event “Learning Outcomes in Primary Education” (23 November, Rwanda)
At the end of 2016, the programme on “Learning Outcomes in Primary Education” (LOPE, 2014-2016) is coming to a conclusion. LOPE is a cooperation between the Ministry of Education and Training, Rwanda Education Board, University of Rwanda – College of Education and VVOB. On November 23, a closing workshop takes place, treating the following topics: initial training on effective school leadership; professional learning networks for head teachers; and learner-centred pedagogy in pre-service teacher training.

Asia-Pacific Regional Early Childhood Development Conference (1-3 March, Cambodia)
ARNEC, the Asia pacific Regional Network on Early Childhood, organises its next annual conference in Cambodia, from March 1st to 3rd 2017. The theme is “The transformative power of Early Childhood Development (ECD): The importance of holistic interventions” with three sub-themes covering policies and programmes; equitable access and participation; and quality monitoring.
