ADEA 2017 Triennale (15-17 March, Senegal)
The Association for the Development of Education in Africa will hold its 2017 Triennale on 'Revitalising education towards the 2030 Global Agenda and Africa's Agenda 2063'. The general objective is to provide the opportunity for the various stakeholders to share experiences and to collectively design strategies, modalities, conditions and factors for the operationalization and implementation of the Education Framework for Action under the global and continental frameworks.

Global Education and Skills Forum (18-19 March, Dubai)
Each year, the global Education and Skills Forum brings together world leaders from the public, private, and social sectors seeking solutions to achieving education, equity and employment for all. In 2017, through the theme of 'How do we make 'real' global citizens?', the Forum is challenging its delegates to consider what we need to teach our children and how we can move those lessons to action.

AfrEA International Conference 2017 (27-31 March, Uganda)
VVOB Rwanda will attend the 8th AfrEA International Conference on the demand and supply of credible evaluative evidence in support of the SDGs in Africa. The conference will build the capacity of its participants to design, manage, and use evaluations to help governments achieve their national and international development agendas.

Educaid.be Annual Conference (18 May, Belgium)
Educaid.be’s annual conference aims to enrich discussion on education and development issues by giving the floor to academics and researchers, policy-makers, and practitioners from all over the world. The 2017 conference will focus on the use of digital technology in achieving SDG 4.

OMEP Asia Pacific Regional Conference (18-19 May, Hong Kong)
The World Organisation for Early Childhood Education - Hong Kong will organise a conference together with the Education Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government on 'Enhancing the quality of ECE: Policies, pedagogies and parent engagement'. VVOB Vietnam will present a paper on the challenges in the transition from preschool to primary education in the education system of Vietnam and discuss two case studies where VVOB's transitional approach resulted in changes at policy level and at school level.

Bi-annual Symposium on Teacher Education for Inclusion (7-8 June, South Africa)
North-West University and VVOB South Africa are hosting the second symposium on teacher education on the theme ‘Linking Research to Practice’. The symposium provides opportunities for practitioners to share good inclusive practices, researchers and teacher educators to report recent findings and policy makers to disseminate the latest conceptual thinking and policy developments on inclusive education.

DETA Conference (22-25 August, Rwanda)
‘Getting practical about Sustainable Development Goal 4 in Teacher Education in Africa’ is the theme of DETA’s 2017 Conference. African practitioners will deliberate following education subjects: inclusiveness, disability issues, quality, competency-based and Africa-centric curricula and classroom practices, ICT and ODeL modes of provision for education and teacher development, and professional learning communities.

UKFIET 2017 Conference (5-7 September, United Kingdom)
UKFIET, The Education and Development Forum, will organise its 14th international conference on ‘Learning and Teaching for Sustainable Development: Curriculum, Cognition and Context’.
