Right to quality education

It brings together education and development high-level experts from a range of different countries and various fields in order to share ideas and personal experiences of education.

Issues around children’s right to education will be discussed including the obligations and commitments of the international community to support this right. European Development Days 2015

European Development Days 2015 takes place on June 3th and 4th in Brussels. Participants will be able to grasp the benefits of international cooperation through concrete examples of projects which will be showcased at the Practice village, composed of 50 stands. Also, young adults aged 21 to 26 from all over the world will be invited to join different panel sessions to share their experience and their vision of development, therefore actively engaging in shaping the decisions that will affect them and their future.

Each year, the forum attracts about 5,000 participants from over 140 countries, representing 1,200 organisations from the fields of development cooperation, human rights and humanitarian aid. The EU also engages political leaders, development practitioners, the private sector and civil society in shaping the EU’s policies for tackling poverty worldwide.

The focus for European Development Days 2015 echoes the motto of the European Year for Development - ‘Our world, our dignity, our future’. This year’s programme will be structured around four themes and twelve topics.
