VVOB partner countries 2022

VVOB is an international non-profit organisation working towards quality education in Africa, Asia and South America in close collaboration with governments and international education stakeholders. VVOB employs over 250 experts in their respective fields.

VVOB’s organisational structure is made up of the following pillars:

1. Internal governance

To ensure VVOB’s decision-making enhances true shared leadership and quality management of the organisation, the internal governance structure aims to include the views and voices of a diverse group of VVOB staff.

  • The Global Leadership Team consists of the Directors and the Global Leads and is mandated to take global decisions.
  • The Extended Global Leadership Team consists of the Global Leadership Team and the Country Programme Managers. It is the platform for strategic and operational discussions to inform global decision-making.
  • The Global Operations Committee consists of the Global Director of Finance, the Global Lead of HR and the Country Operations Managers. It is the platform for collaboration on policy-building and implementation in the fields of HR and finance.

2. Country teams

To achieve its vision and mission, VVOB invests in long-term partnerships, underpinned by clear country agreements, with national governments and their ministries of education. In each partner country, VVOB has a physical presence.

The Country Programmes Manager leads the Country Management Team, which is made up of national and international expert staff. Country Management Teams are responsible for the in-country coordination and operations of the projects in-country. Country-based staff manage specific components within their projects.
