On the 4th of May VVOB Zambia had a successful breakfast meeting with the Honourable Dora Siliya MP and the press to focus attention to the International Computer Driving Licence and the VVOB programme. so we were informed by programme manager Astrid.

"VVOB has worked together with Africonnect to support the colleges of education to become ICDL (International Computer Driving License) certified centres. The attached speech further explains the how, why and what.

The meeting gave us an excellent opportunity to highlight the programme. Not only the Minister herself was there, also Mrs Mubanga (director ESS) and people from the banking world.

The programme was as follows: opening, national anthem, speech on ICDL by Africonnect, speech on VVOB programme by me, speech of honourable minister, questions by press.

The speech from the Minister was quite inspiring, expression a vision for what should be achieved in 2030 and how ICT is part of that vision. She was calling upon the bank world to cooperate with the Ministry to assure that pupils are well trained and have skills that they also need in the future. She was expressing gratitude towards Africonnect and VVOB on the cooperation with MOE.

ZNBC will broadcast a summary. We will follow the newspapers to see who will print what, different journalists were there (Post, Times, Gazette).

We are all quite pleased with the event, it was fun and good for our exposure."
