2020: Blended learning - the future of education?

In 2020, the world was confronted with the COVID-19 pandemic. This annual report is about solutions. How did we react to the first shock of the pandemic? How did we engage our partners to the fullest to make the best out of a bad situation? And how did we lift up teachers and school leaders, the people who hold the key to minimise learning losses? Blended modalities took central stage.

2019: Today’s learners, tomorrow’s leaders - every step of education matters

Various factors can contribute to learners experiencing barriers to achieving their full potential. In partnership with governments, we work to make sure the Learning Crisis is a thing of the past. In early childhood education, primary education, secondary education and technical and vocational education and training. In our 2019 annual report, you can explore how we go about all this in practice.

2018: Unlocking the potential of teachers and school leaders for SDG 4

Teachers and school leaders are the two most critical sets of actors in raising the quality of learning and wellbeing of children and youth, and thus in achieving SDG 4. In VVOB's 2018 annual report, we zoom in on our approach to strengthening and supporting school leaders, our approach to supporting and retaining high quality teachers, our approach to promoting effective classroom learning. The feature stories from our partner countries South Africa, Rwanda, Vietnam and Ecuador show what these approaches look like in practice.

2017: Tackling barriers to education for all

2017 was the kick-off to a new 5-year programme. Foundations were laid, partnerships built. VVOB colleagues across all partner countries are working towards one common goal by 2021: tackling barriers to education for all. How exactly we do this, is explained in this annual report. VVOB staff, born-and-raised in the countries we work in, discuss how the organisation ensures quality education for the most vulnerable learners in their country.
